Golden Tree Adventures is a compilation of many things. I had so many pages and blogs started that I had to combine them into one place so I could keep track of everything I was managing. Below are descriptions about each of my blogs. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com
Becoming Minimalist was the first blog I started. I was working 80 hour weeks and had no work-life balance. I wanted to make a lifestyle change so made a very focused effort to take some time to brainstorm what I could do differently. I kept a journal along the way and made it into my blog.
DIY | Money Saving Tips
My lifestyle began to change as I pursued a minimalist lifestyle. One area I found myself being drawn to is how I could make my own things from low cost items or better yet, items I already owned. If I could find ways to save money, I wouldn't have to work so many hours and I could find time for travel and hobbies again and most importantly, relationships. I used this interest to make a separate blog.
Laughter is the Best Medicine
I am very fortunate to be pen pals with my Grandma. She likes to include various jokes in her letters. I didn't want to risk the funny jokes being buried in my blog, so I made a separate one for what she would send me. I started adding other humorous sayings as I came across them. When I have a tough day, I look back at these and have a good chuckle.
I currently rent and someday, would like to move into a small place in the country. Most recently, I have been exploring stories of families with tiny homes or other unique living ideas and have been very impressed with the lifestyle and cost to do something like this. Some families can make their home for under $20,000 by learning new skills, having friends and family help with construction and using free or recycled products. I won't move until I can afford to purchase the home since I don't want to live in debt. Until I have enough money saved up and that time comes, I have started collecting design ideas that I would like to incorporate into my future place. I made everything digital so I have less stuff laying around my apartment. I have collected additional ideas on my Pinterest page.
