I have a friend who has been bullied at work for the past 4 years. The situation has been reported to the HR and the person's supervisor many times. It has improved very minimally.
The drama has been taking so much time of their life working on addressing this. We got on the subject of minimalism since we are both huge advocates. They have 5 bags of documentation of the poor treatment they have been receiving. As a result of de-cluttering other areas of their life, they were able to re-direct some focus on next steps and how best to address this and what some new tactics were.
By able to de-clutter and re-focus, they were able to re-pack their bags in terms of their career and re-evaluate their future aspirations. Did they want to stay with the company? Did they want to try a new place? Did they want to try their hand at freelance roles? By getting past this bullying milestone and focusing on the next adventure, they found they had more time on their hands to pursue job interviews and personal hobbies and interests. It was a great relief and inspired a career adventure.
... is the intentional promotion of the things we most value and the removal of everything that distracts us from it. It is about re-evaluating our pursuits, our habits, and our motivations.
